Dining in Dallas is big business. We have more restaurants per capita here than just about any other big city in the United States. From Tex-Mex to Chinese and Barbecue to Soul Food, we pretty much have any cuisine you can think of. With so many restaurants, one might wonder just how they all survive. While some are short lived, the majority of them do tend to stick around for many years. Obviously, location helps out a lot, and restaurants located near tourist attractions or in trendy areas tend to fare best.

There are many locals that head outside of their homes for dining in Dallas on a regular basis. The average person here eats out at least four times a week. With so many types of food available and with so many incredible restaurants nearby, it’s no wonder most places are consistently busy on any given night of the week. On weekends, you can generally expect long waits as Friday and Saturday nights are packed full of patrons in just about any restaurant you visit. Look for places that accept reservations and be sure to call well in advance if you do not want to be stuck on a long waiting list.
When looking for dining in Dallas, you can pretty much find about any cuisine available in different price levels. For example, the majority of steak houses here are fairly expensive, but it is possible to find some more casual places that serve a decent steak as well. Depending on your preferences in price and atmosphere, there is bound to be a place that meets your criteria. With a little searching, you can locate some exceptional restaurants that fall somewhere in the middle of the two extremes. Place at Perry’s in uptown, for instance, is ranked as one of the top ten steak houses in Dallas, but isn’t haughty or pretentious and has remarkably reasonable pricing. They offer a variety of excellent dishes, incredibly attentive service, and a trendy social scene without costing guests a small fortune.

Keep in mind that when going out for fine dining in Dallas, there are some places that adhere to strict dress codes. To prevent an embarrassing situation, be sure to call ahead or check the restaurant’s website before you leave home. Some of these rules can seem a little strange and you may think that you have nothing to worry about until you are turned away at the door.

The internet can be a helpful tool when looking for dining in Dallas. Many sites are available for people to post comments and rate different restaurants around the city. This is a good way to check out how pricey a place is and see how they are ranked in categories like food, beverages, service and atmosphere. By reading what other patrons have to say about a particular restaurant, you can get a good idea of whether or not you will likely enjoy dining there. Remember that a lot of people only write reviews when they want to complain, so be sure to look through many comments before you make up your mind about a restaurant.

Finding restaurants that offer private dining in Dallas is fairly easy. Some places were designed especially for this purpose and offer separate rooms ranging from small, cozy areas to grandiose banquet halls. Other restaurants simply accommodate this need by sectioning off a portion of the dining room for guests. Depending on the number of people in your party and the amount of privacy you desire, there is sure to be a business that can meet your needs. There are a few things to consider when you start your search for an appropriate venue for your event.

When shopping for private dining in Dallas, keep in mind that some places charge a room rental fee and may charge a flat rate or by the hour. Others may simply require that a minimum dollar amount be reached through food and beverage purchases. Generally, all restaurants will add gratuity automatically to private parties, so be sure to check the bill before you add a tip. A typical gratuity rate will be about 18% or 20% of the entire bill, but some places may choose to charge an hourly rate for each server or bartender you have.

It is important that you know what your food options are prior to reserving a room for private dining in Dallas. If you are familiar with the restaurant and have eaten there before, you probably already know what type of food you want to have available to your guests. If you are unsure what to offer at your party, talk to the event coordinator on site to see what meal packages they recommend. Some places will let your guest choose from a limited menu that you decide upon. The details of whether you will have buffet style or plated meals served and what exactly the food will be is something that needs to be concluded well in advance of the party.

While there are many restaurants that offer private dining in Dallas, some are better equipped to impress your guests than others. Obviously, if the atmosphere is nice and the food is delicious, you are on the right track. Other things to consider, however, are issues like accessibility, parking, P.A. systems and music. Is the restaurant in an area that your friends or employees can find easily? Will they need to pay for parking, walk from a distant parking lot, or is valet offered? Will anyone that is speaking be able to be heard by all the guests in the room? Is there a space for a DJ or other entertainment to be set up, and how are the acoustics in the room?

For those who are looking for private dining in Dallas in order to hold a conference or work related event, some places are better able to meet those needs than others. Place at Perry’s in uptown has a room with state of the art technology that makes giving professional presentations a breeze, and when the work is done, the area can transform into a space suitable for socializing and dining. The room is also completely enclosed so there is no disruption from the restaurant crowd during your meeting or party.

Upon moving to Texas ten years ago, I began a quest in search of the best steak house in Dallas. After all, when you think of Texas, you automatically conjure up images of cowboys and cattle ranches, right? Or was that just me? Much to my dismay, I quickly discovered that not many people in the city actually wear cowboy hats and boots, and it is pretty seldom that you hear people talk in a slow southern drawl. While you may have to go to Fort Worth to get a glimpse of a real live cowboy, Dallas restaurants serve some of the juiciest and finest cuts of beef you will ever find.
When you ask some of the locals where you can find the best steak house in Dallas, you will likely get a slew of different answers and recommendations. There is a lot to choose from here, and everyone is going to have their own opinion of what constitutes “the best”. For me, I wanted to find a steak that did not need a half bottle of A-1 to make it taste delicious. I care a lot less about how fancy the restaurant is or how expensive the meals are. I don’t need or want a maître de, a sommelier, and a server who stands beside my table the entire meal.
In my opinion, the best steak house in Dallas is the one that serves the best steak, period. Many people will argue that the experience and the atmosphere are equally as important as the meal. A lot of people in the city care more about the social scene and how dressed up they can get for a night out. That just doesn’t interest me. I will say, however, that I do like to have prompt and attentive service, and I definitely do not want to eat anywhere that is shabby, dirty, or otherwise questionable.
During my ten year search, I have dined in more than one spot that could easily be considered the best steak house in Dallas. From the long list of restaurants that fall into the steak house category, only a few have delivered a steak that I deemed worthy of ditching the steak sauce for. While these places also gave exceptional service, they were pretty expensive and a little too haughty for my taste. Only one place, which I wish I would have found sooner, really impressed me in overall quality and value.
Overall, Place at Perry’s in uptown is by far the best steak house in Dallas that I have visited. Not only is the steak exceptional and flavorful, but every item I have ever ordered there is equally wonderful. The atmosphere is bright and lively, which is a nice change from the stuffy, dark mahogany décor common to most of the steak restaurants in town. While it does offer a nice social scene, you don’t feel out of place if you aren’t dressed to the nines or dripping in diamonds. The prices are very reasonable and the service is top notch, without all of the excessive formality you normally find in fine dining.

There are a plethora of restaurants in Dallas, Texas. In fact, it is consistently ranked as one of the top five cities with the most restaurants per capita.

It would not take more than a couple of minutes to locate a restaurant here. However, not all eateries are created equal. The trick when deciding where to dine out is to find the atmosphere you are looking for, the best tasting entrees, a location close by, and the type of food you are craving. From one day to the next, your taste buds will lead you in many directions. It certainly helps to live in an area with a wide range of dining choices.
The most abundant types of restaurants in Dallas are Tex-Mex, barbeque, and steak houses. Within each of these categories, you can find anything from super cheap joints located in strip malls to pricey and upscale businesses. Because of the variety of price and atmosphere within each type of cuisine, there is something to suit everyone’s needs. For lunch with the kids in tow, you can try a family style Tex-Mex restaurant and then for date night, you can enjoy Tex-Mex in a fine dining atmosphere.
Texas is known for its cattle ranches and steak is big business for restaurants in Dallas. While you are sure to find a lot of national chains in the city, the independently owned steakhouses are among the top in the country. Depending on your budget, you can opt for a rustic place fit for a true cowboy or the most opulent high class settings. If you simply want a reasonably priced juicy and delicious steak without having to dress to the nines, you should go to Place at Perry’s in uptown. They serve some of the city’s best steaks and seafood in a cool, non-stuffy environment.
If it’s ethnic restaurants in Dallas you are searching for, we have plenty of those too. Here, you can try cuisine from just about any culture on the planet. People from all over the world relocate to Dallas and open mom and pop businesses, so it is fairly easy to find everything from Caribbean to Greek to Ethiopian, or whatever you may desire. One of the advantages of living in such a melting pot of people is that dining out can often feel like an adventure. Tasting foods from other countries is an exciting experience and often leads to a new appreciation for that culture.
For those looking for the best restaurants in Dallas, look online and check out reviews before you choose a place. There are many sites on the web that allow customers to leave comments and rank the restaurants in the city. You may also want to ask around to get recommendations from others. Everyone will have a different opinion of what they deem to be the best food, as each person will have their own personal tastes. If you have the time and the money, try out as many of the recommended restaurants until you discover the one you like the most.

Place at Perrys in Dallas is a restaurant owned by locals Bill and Heather Esping.

The renowned steakhouse was forced to change its name from the previous “Perry’s” in 2009 when a Houston based restaurant with the same name moved into the area. Formerly at the corner of Routh and Cedar Springs roads in uptown for 10 years, they recently moved two blocks away to a more spacious and contemporary space at the Gables Villa Rosa. The new location allowed the owners to step away from the tradition steakhouse décor of leather, mahogany wood, and dim lighting. The new space is modern, light, airy and extremely chic.

There are many aspects about Place at Perry’s in Dallas that set it apart from other restaurants in the area. Not only do they purchase all of their produce, meats and supplies from local vendors, but they also make great strides to only select the best possible quality of food available. All of the beef, poultry and chicken served are guaranteed to have been raised in humane conditions and to never have been given any antibiotics, growth hormones or other chemicals. With the help of the Dallas Arboretum, they are currently working on creating an edible garden on the large patio that will grow fragrant herbs and vegetables that will be used in drink and meal preparations.

While the new and improved Place at Perry’s in Dallas has retained much of their previous menu, Chef Jaime Corona has introduced several new and delectable dishes and keeps things exciting with daily specials. The cuisine, along with the upscale atmosphere, has caught the attention of residents and critics alike. In 2011, they were ranked among the top ten steakhouses in Dallas by D Magazine. The Dallas Morning News also gave them the coveted honor of being in the ten Best In DFW last year.

If you haven’t yet been to Place at Perry’s in Dallas, you are truly denying yourself an incredible experience. The attention to detail can be seen from the beautiful, delicious entrees to the clean and sexy atmosphere and right down to the attentive, friendly wait staff. They offer a wide selection, so although they are considered a steakhouse, there is something for everyone to enjoy, including fresh fish and other seafood options. There is even a brunch menu offered on Saturdays and Sundays.

For those who are interested in private dining spaces, this restaurant has you covered. While several different areas can be reserved for functions like bridal showers and rehearsal dinners, the largest banquet room, which seats 70 people comfortably, also includes state of the art technology ideal for business gatherings or presentations. This room boasts its own bar as well, so guests in your party can be served efficiently and separately from the main dining room bar. The events coordinator, Ally Masten, can ensure that no matter what your individual needs are, they will be not only met, but exceeded. Private rooms can book rather quickly, so make sure to call in advance to reserve the space you want.

As with any big city, finding a restaurant in Dallas is as easy as a quick drive down the street or a walk around the corner.

Because it is a melting pot of cultures, you can find just about any type of food here. Virtually all ethnicities are represented in the abundance of restaurants located in Dallas and its surrounding areas. From small, inexpensive taco stands to the finest in gourmet cuisine, residents and visitors can satisfy just about any craving possible. Because of the sheer number of competitors, restaurants here must offer great value, unique dishes, fabulous atmosphere, or delicious entrees if they want to survive for very long.

If you are looking for a high end, fine dining restaurant in Dallas, there are many to choose from. The social scene at these types of establishments is valued as highly as the dinner itself. Many people flock to fancy restaurants in the area to rub elbows with pro athletes, actors, famous celebrities and the Dallas elite. With sommeliers offering extensive lists of the world’s best wines and master chefs serving some of the most decadent of dishes, even the harshest of culinary critics are sure to be impressed with the upscale Dallas dining scene.

Tex-Mex is arguably the most prevalent type of restaurant in Dallas. In certain areas around town, you can find more authentic mom and pop “hole-in-the-wall” places where you need to be able to understand a little Spanish just to navigate the menu. On the other end of the spectrum, there are classy, extremely “Americanized” joints that offer a different spin on classic Tex-Mex dishes and are highly sophisticated and trendy. Most residents tend to opt for the middle of the two extremes. Casual family friendly Tex-Mex, with reasonable prices and a more traditional menu, is common fare around the city.

Texas is known for its cattle ranches, so locating a good steak restaurant in Dallas is usually top priority for tourists. Some places have a rustic, cowboy-approved atmosphere, while others are more eclectic and modern. Even restaurants that do not specialize in steak will most likely have at least a sirloin on their menu. While there are several steakhouse chains that are extremely popular, locals tend to look to independently owned establishments when they crave a juicy cut of beef. Restaurants like Place at Perry’s in uptown serve extremely flavorful steaks and seafood combined with a beautiful, non-stuffy atmosphere.

Whatever your budget and whatever your favorite food is, there is likely to be a restaurant in Dallas that can satisfy your needs. With the internet providing many sites for customer reviews, it is extremely easy to investigate a place before you decide to dine there. Most restaurants will have websites of their own that will allow you to see the full menu as well as the pricing. If you find a place you would like to try out, be sure to check their reservation policy ahead of time. Friday and Saturday nights are typically incredibly busy for the majority of restaurants in Dallas, and without a reservation, you can expect an agonizingly long wait.

If you are searching for the best steakhouse in Dallas, you will definitely have your work cut out for you.

There are an abundance of restaurants in the area with a focus on providing the best cuts of meat cooked to perfection. After all, this is Texas, and if anybody knows steak, it’s Texans. Tourists who visit Dallas flock to the downtown restaurants looking for Filet Mignon, Ribeyes and T-bones worthy of writing home about. While locals like to mix it up with sushi and other tasty menu selections, they are also big fans of a juicy steak, especially when combined with a trendy be-seen atmosphere.

When you live in the metroplex, you can take your time trying out all of the restaurants around town, but if you travel here, you want to find the best steakhouse in Dallas as quickly as possible without exhausting your taste buds. If you were to ask your business associates, the concierge at your hotel, or friends and family members that live here, you will likely find that each person has a different recommendation. Many of these favorite places are going to be quite pricey as well, with average checks reaching up to $100 per person.

A Google search for the best steakhouse in Dallas will provide you with a few local magazines’ reviews and top ten rankings. Upon closer inspection, however, you will find that the steak is only a small fraction of the equation used to determine which places are deemed worthy of making the list. Most of the time, they also factor in wine selection, ambiance, service, dessert and shrimp along with other side items. While some of these things are as important to patrons as the actual steak they consume, many of us are simply looking for great steak at a fair price in a nice, clean restaurant with outstanding service. If you are not a wine connoisseur or a seafood or dessert fan, and simply want a tender, delicious steak, you should probably ignore these top ten lists.

Determining which restaurant is the best steakhouse in Dallas has to be based on your own personal preference, and each and every one of us may have a different idea of what constitutes the “best”. If you are like some who believe that spending a small fortune on a meal makes it great, then there are many places in the area that can accommodate your needs. Personally, I tend to leave these establishments feeling a bit ripped off. While I may enjoy the surroundings and the company I am with, it is rare that I feel the steak is any better than what I grill myself in my own backyard. Of all the places I have been, my vote for the best steakhouse in Dallas is Place at Perry’s in Uptown. The steak there is melt-in-your-mouth, incredible and riddled with flavor. The staff has always been amazing and the atmosphere is pleasant and comfortable, without being too formal or stuffy. The pricing is quite reasonable also, with two people able to enjoy a fantastic meal and delicious drinks for under $100.

If you have roamed the country looking for the best steakhouse, Dallas has what you have been looking for.

Texas is known for its longhorns, and I don’t mean just the football playing kind. Just about every restaurant in the Dallas/ Fort Worth (DFW) area has some type of steak available on its menu. Even most Tex-Mex restaurants have at least a sirloin for sale. You can find decent steak just about anywhere around the metroplex, but not all steaks are created equal. Even residents here are always in search of that perfect cut of beef that is juicy and tender and makes your eyes roll back with loads of flavor.

In this quest for the best steakhouse, Dallas locals dress in their finest and head out to trendy and over-priced restaurants all over the city and even into the suburbs. While many of these places are great for being seen and for socializing, they are not always up to par when it comes to their steaks. Nothing could be much more discouraging than paying hundreds of dollars for a meal that is less than exceptional. While most customers do want an eclectic environment in which to dine and outstanding service to boot, they also want their meal to match the rest of the experience.

If you were to ask around for where to find the best steakhouse, Dallas folks will all likely have a different opinion. Everyone has their own particular way for determining what they think is the best. It is truly up to the individual and you will ultimately have to decide for yourself what makes one restaurant better than another. The key thing to remember is that it is possible to find a delicious steak without spending a small fortune on dinner.

On a quick internet search for the best steakhouse, Dallas magazines pop up articles listing their top ten picks in the city. The problem with these lists is that they factor in way more than just the steak. They also include wine selections, atmosphere, service, seafood, vegetables and potatoes in their formula to rank the restaurants. Wait, seafood and wine? I can see why the other things are important, but I wouldn’t rate a steakhouse based on their seafood, and I am not that into wine. What I think we all want to really know is how great the steak is there. Also, it must be said that almost every one of the top ten lists is loaded with extremely upscale and pricey restaurants.

To find the truly best steakhouse Dallas has to offer, you need to look no further than Place at Perry’s in Uptown. The steak there is simply amazing and literally melts in your mouth. It is worthy of the top ten list for sure, but is actually an affordable place to dine. The building is beautifully decorated and is clean and inviting. While it is among the trendy, be-seen places in Dallas, it is not stuffy and overly-proper. You can sit back and enjoy a perfect steak without worrying if you are using the right fork!

Private dining in Dallas has become more and more popular over the years.

It is the perfect solution for those hosting small or large parties that do not want the hassle or headache of cooking and cleaning. By taking the event outside of the home, it provides a more comfortable setting for guests and makes it easier for larger groups to see and hear all that is going on. Whether you choose buffet style or full service, you will have more options with menu choices and can even accommodate those with special dietary needs.

There are a multitude of gatherings that can benefit from the use of private dining. From birthday parties to baby and bridal showers, having a separate room in a restaurant can assure that your guests can have a great time without feeling watched or being heard by other patrons. You can choose to have just enough space to simply dine or more space to allow for mingling or silly shower games. Some areas even provide the option for bar service in the room with you, making it easier for guests to get drinks when they like without waiting at a crowded main bar in the restaurant.

Private dining is also ideal for businesses that want to treat employees or clients to a nice experience outside of the conference room. This can range from a small meeting to a large, company-wide party. Savvy restaurants like Place at Perry’s offer state-of-the-art equipment that makes high tech visual and audio presentations possible during a delicious, award winning meal. Clients will not only be impressed with the dining experience, but will be in awe of the surroundings as well. It is a beautifully decorated restaurant that is located in uptown Dallas, making it a centrally convenient meeting spot for downtown businesses.

Places with private dining rooms are also fantastic for wedding receptions and rehearsal dinners. Weddings are a big deal in Dallas, but you can still impress your guests without breaking the bank. By holding your special celebration at a restaurant, you can pay a much smaller rental fee than you would at say the arboretum, museum, or other popular event spaces. Most of these traditional wedding reception sites will require you to hire outside catering companies also. When you use a restaurant, you will have a wide variety of price options available to you for your food choices, as well as beverage packages that can help save a ton on alcohol expenses.

Whether you are looking to have an intimate gathering with just a handful of close friends or a large holiday party for your employees and their spouses, reserving a private dining room will make it possible for you to enjoy the event as much as your guests. The on-site event planner can arrange for all of your needs and wishes far in advance so that all you have to do is show up. They can handle menu planning, staffing, parking, flowers and decorations, and any entertainment you might want.
